Well Boo to you too.

I love a good ghost story.  I do.  And they are all over the place.  On any given night, just head to the big flat screen, and dial the old TV down to any number of curiosity-seeking networks.

There are people trying to explain ghosts.  Others try to get them on camera, or audio tape; some try to catch them.  Then there are the droves of people recounting their own personal ghost stories.

And in unrelated, but related news, there is even a new show on this season called “Exorcism Live.”  Yep.  Real Catholic Priests, performing Exorcisms, for all the world to see.

When we were kids, we use to sit around the campfire, and tell ghost stories.  Well, we didn’t actually have campfires in City Limits… it was more like a little circle of us, on cement blocks… and one of the kids who smoked would light matches…. or even a lighter.  But the stories would still scare the crap out of us.

But back to the present.  Modern Ghost Sagas on TV.  This genre of programming must be wildly popular.  Because there are a wide array of shows.

Now my question is…. do you believe them?  Or do you think all those people are lying?  I can’t say for sure.  But if they are ALL lying… I wonder what the motivation is.  Especially the ones who talk about their own experiences.

Maybe I am naive or too trusting, but I find it hard to believe that all of them are lying.  Which leaves the door a little bit open for the possibility of truth.  Truth in these Ghost Stories.

It all makes me wonder, once again, about the mystery, the unknown, the unseen, and all the possibilities of all the possibilities.

So the next time something goes bump in the night, I think I’ll just say “Hello”…. and leave it at that.
