See?

Goats. Geese. Chickens.

Sometimes, you just have to stop, and watch the show.

Leo Tolstoy, spoke to this very matter, once.  He said….

“If, then, I were asked for the most important advice I could give, that which I considered to be the most useful to the men of our century, I should simply say: in the name of God, stop a moment, cease your work, look around you.”

Many people have said this… in many ways.

We all know the usual suspects…. “Stop and smell the roses”. …. …. “Stay in the moment” … ….  “Practice mindfulness.”

It is all very good advice, and I can only offer the same.

Sometimes, you will see the darnedest things when you notice.

Yogi Bearer said it too. “You can observe a lot by watching.”

It is a big world we live in.  At the same time, it is very small.  So today, maybe we should slow down for a minute, and have a look around.

“Look at everything always as though you were seeing it either for the first or last time: Thus is your time on earth filled with glory.”
― Betty Smith, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

“Earth’s crammed with heaven…
But only he who sees, takes off his shoes.”
― Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Aurora Leigh

“I am larger, better than I thought; I did not know I held so much goodness.

All seems beautiful to me.

Whoever denies me, it shall not trouble me;
Whoever accepts me, he or she shall be blessed, and shall bless me.”
― Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass
