Apples come from trees.

Everything is connected.  The whole big bunch of it.  And I mean everything.  Galileo Galilei, in all his infinite wisdom, once noted, “The sun, with all those planets revolving around it and dependent on it, can still ripen a bunch of grapes as if it had nothing else in the universe to do.”

Ah. That sun. And those grapes.  You see what I mean?

Every bit of energy is palpable.  It is all bouncing around, in a perfect pattern, yet seemingly random.  It is all coinciding.
So yes, energy, both positive and negative, is forever perceptible, perceivable, and discernible.  It can even be unmistakable. We’ve all felt it at one time or another.   You are around someone who is completely and totally stinky.  Debbie  Downer.  Carl Curmudgeon.  Nancy Negative. That person who is just simply draining.   Conversely, Johnny Joyful.  Wanda Wonderful. Frankie Funny.  A delight.  Energy is for real.  We can feel it in those situations, for sure.

Beyond people, it goes into nature, the earth, the wind, the sky.  The light, and the dark.  Show me a molecule that isn’t moving, and hell, has indeed, frozen over.

So yes.  Connectivity.

The biggest part of that is our hearts. Our souls. Our minds. Our will.  Our life.

You see.  I think we all have valid beliefs about spirituality.  We all have our own faith, our own thinking, our own will.

Some of us believe in a god, some of us believe in 10,000 gods, and still others of our group, believe in no god at all.  This is how it is meant to be.

For me, I cannot believe in a “nothing after this life.”  I can’t believe we just wither up, turn to dust, and blow away with the next good breeze.  Physically, yes.  But that other thing… our spark, our goodness, our core, our inner souls…. that is where the life energy is.  Where the molecules continue to spin.

Carl Sagan spoke one of my favorite quotes of all time.  “If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.”  Everything is connected.  No apple pie without apples, no apples without the apple tree, no tree without the Earth to grow it on, no Earth without the galaxy.  No galaxy without the universe.  Every piece of this, intricately connected.

We should remember this.

When we act.  When we clean up after ourselves.  When we speak to others.  When we drive our cars, grow our plants, read our books, cast our votes, breathe the air, and on. Beyond.

We should remember this with every step we take in this life.  Gently.  Carefully.  Mindfully.  Because it is all connected.  What WE do, we do to others, and in turn, to ourselves.

So we go forth. . Hopefully, in gentle measures, in good will.  In peace.  We are, after all…..  connected.
