Here. There. Everywhere.

I have been reminded of several things today.

There are a lot of good people in the world. There are genuine people who seem to be kind to the core. It has been my good fortune today, to bump into quite a few of them.

Well, I didn’t physically bump into them. Unlike, last night, in the middle of the dark night, in the dark hotel room. Par for the course, I had to get up and go to the restroom. On my way back, I ran into a long bench at the end of the bed. More than a “bump in to” — this was an all-out assault from knee to furniture. Hop-Along-Cassidy. My new Western-Nickname, and for good reason. But I’m off topic.

Good people. From the start of the day, to the very finish, one fine person after then next. Waiters, store clerks, valet parkers, artists, and passers-by. As bright as the sun.

Although, the sun seems to be steering clear of this place. It was overcast, rainy, and chilly all the day long. On our way back to the hotel this evening, it started hailing. Not like “Hail, Caesar,” hailing. It was ice-from-the-sky hailing.

Yet. The day was full and good. We saw so many interesting things, funny & crazy things, artful and creative things.

But I was nudged in the direction of beauty. There is so much to be seen, and felt, and known in this world. So much to appreciate. We simply have to take notice. We must always be sure to look for the goodness. The beauty in the world, and in each other.

More importantly, we need to remember to take care of this. Once we forget the grace, we are lost.

Today, I’ll see the beauty, every chance I get.
