The stuff we’re made of.

Sugar.  And spice?  And everything nice?  I think we ALL have a little bit of that… for sure.   But what are we really made of? Almost 99% of the mass of the human body is made up of six elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus.   But what are we really and TRULY made of?  Well….  Energy.

I know I talk about it frequently.  But it IS frequently our everything… “our energy.”  We are bodies of it.  (Well, some days more than others.)

Logistically, our bodies need energy to work.  We fuel ourselves in the physical sense with food.  Carbohydrates, fats, and proteins provide the fuel for our bodies.

And then there is the other part of our energy.   Some just call it the “human energy” or the “aura” or “Aunt Mildred’s Mojo.”  The old Boogie Woogie.  But whatever you call it….WHOOOP….  there it is.

This has been studied in a variety of ways.  But this field of energy surrounds and penetrates the body. It underlies and supports the functioning of the body. If our “essence” had an address.. .. this is where it would live.  Here you will find…. the energetic aspects of every structure and function of the body.  All the things  we experience (physical sensations, thoughts, feelings, states of consciousness, etc.).

Tonight we had dinner with some very dear friends.  So…. this was …. ….  pretty much…..  four bodies of energy, exchanging human energy… WHILE we fueled our bodies with more energy.  That is a LOT Of energy.

It is no wonder I write about this topic a lot.  I mean…. Who needs to write about Green Jello Gone Wrong.

But, back to dinner.  It was really great to spend time with them.  We talked a little bit about the letter A… and some about the letter Z…. and everything in between, I’ll tell you.

The topics ranged from radish crops, to caring for our aging mothers.  From losing our husbands in car crashes, to world politics.  Or how the way our cats lick their butts makes us all crazy (and I don’t even have cats)…. to water aerobics classes  and cigar encyclopedias.  We covered it all.  That is the sweet thing about being with old friends. It is easy to talk about it all.

But as those four bodies of energy sat together at that table, our thoughts combined, as well as our feelings concerning most every topic.

By ourselves… alone in a room… we probably would never have had this series of thoughts and emotions.

The convergence of energy is all a part of our Human Experience.

“The Human Experience is the ultimate source and justification for all knowledge.”  The source of our knowledge.

It gives us human memory and culture.   And that produces reason.  And intelligence.  Welllll…. not always…. but mostly.  😉

Who would have thought that dinner with four friends could be so profoundly penetrating and perceptive.

Well it was.  And the Chilean Salmon wasn’t bad either.

I’ll tell you… that’s what friends are for.  And… I like it that way.  It is good for the body and the soul.
