The Incredibles.

Some days are incredible. Because… you go into the kitchen, and the faucet at your sink looks like this. My guess is that it got tired and just couldn’t stand it anymore. But I sure am thankful for plumbers. Unfortunately, they could not get to the scene of the crime until the following day. It is not easy to do much in the kitchen without your faucet feeling fine. So I duck taped the holy heck out of the thing. When the plumber came the next day, and saw the tape job…. he gave me the stink eye. The temporary fix worked fine. But I liked it more once the plumber was through.

Some days are incredible. Because… you have a campfire with the crew. And you decide to roast leftover PEEPS from Easter. And this somehow feels a little sad… but at the same time… it makes you just a little bit happy. And this internal conflict causes you to wonder about the other mysteries of the Universe.

Some days are incredible. Because… you look down at the floor when you get out of the shower, and a rainbow magically appears. Right there at your feet. Everybody goes flippy over the big rainbows. The rainbows that show up after the rain fall, when the sun comes out. But I say…. the ones that show up on your bathmat, for no good reason, are the embodiment of the extraordinary.

Some days are incredible. It just takes a little bit of noticing, sometimes.
