Okay… so this post doesn’t have anything to do with its title.  It was a Nemesis Ploy to get you in here.

You see….

I know Superheroes.

I do.

This is only true, because I am one very lucky girl.
You may be wondering exactly what I mean, so I will expand on this.

Superheroes.  If you look it up in the dictionary, it reads this way:   Superhero. |ˈso͞opərˌhirō| noun:  a benevolent fictional character with superhuman powers, such as Superman.

I argue with only one part of that definition.
Fictional.

You see, I have several people in my life who are Superheroes.  Real people.   My partner.  Friends.   Family Members.  Acquaintances.

These people have many benevolent ways about them.  They are kindly, big-hearted, good-natured, and compassionate.  I’ve seen their ways. Up close and personal, I have known this.  They are caring, altruistic, humanitarian, philanthropic.

There are all thees things in this world, which may disappoint me, or trouble me… those things that seem to whirl and spin and surface every where you look in the news, and on TV.  And just when it seems like the entire world has gone and fallen off its axis…. these people keep shining through.

In their “everyday” being.  They are generous, unselfish, openhanded, and …. well… they are pretty wonderful.

They remind me how completely lovely this world CAN be at times.  … simply because they keep doing…. their beautiful things.  They give so greatly of themselves to this world.

So then, I drop to my knees and sing words of  thanks for them. Seriously, I do.

Those Superheroes.  It makes being a Sidekick pretty dang grand.

The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge. Bertrand Russell

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these. George Washington Carver
