Strong, but silent.

I was thinking about a commercial I saw on TV. I can’t tell you the gist of it. At all. The only thing I noticed was the beautiful lighthouse.

A lighthouse.

Whoever came up with the idea for the lighthouse was really thinking. This structure stands there, amidst the craggiest, rockiest, most dangerous part of the coast. Dangerous to the ships a sailing, that is.

But there it stands, a Beacon Of Light. It stands strong. Against wind and storms and rain. And lights the way for safe passage. It doesn’t position itself there, and endlessly yackity-yack about lighting the way. It just does it.

You know. We need lighthouses in our own lives on some occasions. There are times when we need help seeing the way, making a path, finding safety. If we are lucky enough, we know people in our lives who fill this role.

Conversely, in good turn…. we can be the course of light. The Good. The help for someone who needs it. This could be in a thousand different ways. Sometimes life calls to us in this manner.

At times, some of you, reading this, have been a Lighthouse for me. And. I thank you for that. I am truly grateful.

You may not even know it. But I can assure you, there are many of you out there. And most of the time, like the Lighthouse, you stand quiet and strong.

May we all be that awesome today. And every day. Somehow. Some way.
