Spring in your step.

The changing of the seasons.  We have that, here in Ohio.  And I like the fact that we get all four.  There are many places in the country, which really don’t get to see much of a difference between Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall.

When it gets to be Spring around here, the cabin fever brings out the weekend warrior in a bunch of folks. My Mary is one of them.  She gets outdoorishly-ambitious.  Tonight was one of those nights.  She decided that all the winter brush piles had to be unbrushed.  By fire.

As I mentioned, it is a weekend-warrior thing.  By my estimation, she is going to be warrior-whooped tomorrow.  I went out toward the merry end of it and got in the way, as best I could.  But the brush piles… for the most part… are no more.

Back to those seasons.  They have their goods and their bads.  The pluses and the minuses.  Ups and Downs.  The thing I love about Spring and Summer is the warmth.  As far as I am concerned, the temperature starts getting comfortable at around 88 degrees Fahrenheit.  Yes, I love the heat.  Yet.  The thing I dislike  is the bug bites.  I am the primary target, for whatever reason.  It could be the bulls eye birthmark on my butt.   If there is a crowd of 50 people, I will be the one to get bit by the bug.  Moments later, I proceed to  swell up like a stuffed sausage.

And there it was tonight.  I received my first mosquito bite of the season.  And of course, it swelled like a mother.  Honestly, in a few weeks, I will be used to it.   An okay trade off, so long as that sun is in bake mode.

But if you need any help fighting the insect problem… I know all the tricks.  For instance:  I put a little bug spray on my watch to get rid of the ticks.

Oh.  I know.  Just remember.
Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall…. all you have to do is call… and I’ll beeeeee there.  You’ve got a friend.
