Saucers on the fly.

We are not alone, I’ll tell you. I’ve been saying this for quite some time now. The notion of this started at a very early age for me. Maybe it was a Catholic upbringing. Maybe it was growing up in a home with eight others. There never really seemed to be any “alone” in a house with all those people. Especially when you were in the bathroom.

But this is a different kind of not-alone. I’ve talked time and again about the infinite. The unending expanse of the Universe. To say it is “big” is a gross understatement. We are blips. I’ve also asserted that I think it is pretty egocentric to believe “we humans” are the only life form in this incredible beyond. My theory is that we can’t detect other life forms because we do not understand other life forms. As amazing as our human brains are, we are unable to comprehend the unending vast. That is my proposal.

Now it appears that the government might feel the same way. Actually, I believe this has gone on for a very long time. But this is what came through in the news a couple of days ago.

The dudes at the Pentagon, and dudettes, acknowledged on Saturday that it has been conducting a long-secret UFO investigation program. Yessserrreeee Bobby. The program came to an end in 2012. All because the U.S. defense officials decided that they needed to direct their attention and funding to other places. Priorities, they called them. I call it bullllloney. They are still keeping their beady eyes to the skies. Bet you me.

So yeah. The New York Times reported that the hush-hush program ran from 2007 to 2012. It was purportedly investigating sightings of unidentified flying objects. You know… UFOs. And the bill for this little examination? Say about $22 million in annual funding secretly tucked away in U.S. Defense Department budgets worth hundreds of billions of dollars.

Harry Reid, the Senate Dem from Nevada sparked the initial funding. Old Harry has long been known for his interest and enthusiasm about the things of outer space. But since all of this “broke out” in the news, the “backers” suggest that the program remains in existence.

The stories which are coming forth are pretty convincing. Mostly, there have been incidents by military personnel which have been investigated. There was a former Navy pilot who spilled the beans about his otherworldly experience. It occurred in 2004. His testimony came out just a couple of days after the Pentagon officially revealed the news about their secret UFO office.

The guy’s name is Commander David Fravor. He was a squadron leader / Navy Pilot for 18 years. The guy was on a routine training mission off the coast of California in 2004. They were told to go looks at some strange unidentified objects that were descending from 80,000 to 20,000 feet, and then disappearing.

So they flew on over. And then Fravor says he saw a tic-tac shaped object, “40 feet long with no wings, just hanging close to the water,” (Washington Post). He said it created a disturbance on the water uncharacteristic of a helicopter or a plane, and moved rapidly.

“As I get closer, as my nose is starting to pull back up, it accelerates and it’s gone,” he told the Post. “Faster than I’d ever seen anything in my life. We turn around, say let’s go see what’s in the water and there’s nothing. Just blue water.”

He goes on.

“I can tell you, I think it was not from this world,” Fravor told ABC News, also on Monday. “I’m not crazy, haven’t been drinking. It was — after 18 years of flying, I’ve seen pretty much about everything that I can see in that realm, and this was nothing close.”

He can tell us. He thinks it was not from this world. And. Well. That’s good enough for me.
