Roll a decks.

I had a dream the other night, where everyone seemed to have a Rolodex. It was a big theme throughout this particular dream.

I like Dreams. In fact, I love them. This reverie went on and on. At one point, it involved a Golfing Function. Not like at a Golf Course. But a “Golf Driving Contest.”

It was set up at the top of this hill, with houses on either side of the street. The houses looked just like the ones on East Bruce Avenue when we were kids. But it was on a great big hill, like I mentioned.

The street was loaded with people. Spectators, people cheering, tailgating in white-picket-fenced-in-yards, with out real tailgates. But picnic baskets and coolers, and hot dogs in hand. Mustard-stained shirts and all. It was a huge festivity. Some people were holding balloons, and those big foam hands that say “We’re Number One!”

I was on one of the Driving Teams. It was just four friends. I knew they were my friends, but I couldn’t tell you who there were. Kind of like Facebook. We made our way up to the top, where the big platform was set up. Beyond that, there was the “Players’ Area” which was a huge white open hall, where we were all hanging out in little areas all our own. With our drivers, and golf balls, and such.

I could go on and on about the dream. As it really DID go on and on. But everyone had Rolodexes. And no matter who I was walking with, we’d say… “Oh my gosh, LOOK! That guy there has a Rolodex too. Oh, so does that women by the table.” And on.

WTF.

The dream ended with two people asking me about my Angels. They seemed interested when I gave them so much information about my particular Angels. Great detail. Then, they started flipping through a book with messages from the beyond. Neither one of them had a Rolodex. I was somehow glad for that.

By the way, my Tee Shot in the Driving Contest was much anticipated (by me) and I squibbed it. Badly. It rolled about 7 or 8 feet. It didn’t even take a good roll down the big hill. It just kind of ambled over and rested against one of the white pickets.

What is my point to all of this?

Our world is endless. It is mysterious. There are many things we do not fully understand. Like dreams.

No one really knows for sure what dreams indicate. Some people theorize that it is just a method for our brain to get rid of junk, as it rests in its most sleepy-time state. Others think dreams are fortune tellers, or spiritual advice columns. Some researchers say dreams have absolutely no purpose or meaning. Just a bunch of nonsense. And. More LabCoats say dreams are necessary for mental, and emotional, and physical health.

And if the Big-Whigs in the Science Institutes can’t agree on their function, it is because they are simply miffed by dreams.

My theory as to why they are stumped? Because Dreams are made of Magic. The science-heads (and many common folks) haven’t trained their minds to see any magic yet. And. You can only see what you believe.

So tonight. Just let yourself….. Dream A Little Dream of We.
(And our Rolodexes too.)
