Okay.  So.

To continue our conversation about Sheep Cheese and Geese Eggs.

Oh wait.  We weren’t talking about Sheep Cheese and Geese Eggs here, were we?

Well.  Let’s take the ball and run with something else.

Something else.
This world sure could be categorized as “Something Else.”  It seems that many times during any given day, I will here a news item, or read an article, and I will say, “Holy smokes.  That really is something else.”

It can really go either way… meaning the “something else” is exceptionally good, or extraordinarily bad. I would say most of the times, it  gathers a negative connotation, however.

What do we do when we run into the bad something else’s?
I mean, there are truly a lot of big problems in the world.  Violence, hatred, hunger, illness, poverty, and on and on.  Hostility, persecution, genocide, terrorism, and more.

Sometimes it seems overwhelming.   Most of it, really.

But one thing I truly believe in, is the magic of energy.  The power of energy.  The miracle of it.

It cannot be created nor can it be destroyed.   It simply changes form.

So when we put forth goodness…. good energy…. we are making less room for negative energy.  This can start with the very littlest of things.  A smile to a stranger.  Holding the door open.  Letting someone turn out in traffic.  Buying the lunch for the car behind you at the drive-thru.  Offering a hand.  Lending an ear.  Giving a hug… just a little longer… and with all your heart.

Each of these small things are not small at all.
They are large and significant.  It may not change the world, but if it means…. a little something to just one person…. it has changed them.  And it continues.  For if you transfer, just a bit of good energy, you have put more weight on the good side of the scales.  A little thing can make a big difference.

So as we go through our days, in those telling “insignificant” moments….  those moments which just pass ….  and strangers stay strange… and words go unspoken…  take the time to create the good.

The great.   Wouldn’t that be something else.

Little things seem nothing, but they give peace, like those meadow flowers which individually seem odorless but all together perfume the air.  —  Georges Bernanos

Everyone is trying to accomplish something big, not realizing that life is made up of little things.   —  Frank A. Clark
