In the cards. Oh yeah.

It is almost too strange to believe.   The miracles of nature continue to happen. Yes people. These truly are the big mysteries of life. I’m telling you, I’ve never seen anything like this in one week.

Now.  I know the all of you don’t buy into this.  I’ve gotten my fair share of emails telling me that my stories are a bunch of bunk.   And it may be so.  But gosh darn it….  I believe in magic.  I do.

I mean first there was Super Duck!  How spectacular was that?  The incognito duck in a bright red mask.   And then our dear goat getting her head stuck in the heavy metal.  Like a rock star. That was something else too.   Of course, the ongoing story of our crazy-smart geese who will not swim.

Big gifts of the every day, I’ll tell you.

But today lo and behold, we had the Mystery Rocks. Not just today, but several days in a row.   Something…. in our midst here at home…  is stacking in arranging  rocks. Small rocks. On one specific bigger rock.

None of my colleagues, friends or family are Jones-ing me on this one. I’m pretty sure of that. Albeit it would have to be an elaborate joke.  At any rate.  Here are your clues if you have  your Sherlock on.

We have a large rock buy our Koi pond.  Each day… something is getting small river rocks and arranging them in a Stonehenge like pattern on top of a large flat boulder.  There.  That’s it.

I can only imagine what it might be. Is it some sort of English immigrant chipmunk? Or maybe some squirrel with a sense of humor.  Could that squirrel simply have just gone nuts?   I think I’m going to set up a security camera tomorrow, and try to catch the culprit.

And today, another miracle of nature. The heat and humidity. How I love it so. And it makes nice… for when you just want to jump in the pool and cool off for a little minute.   The plunge.   As I was about to do that I noticed something in the  nearby mulch.

Oh yes.  Upon investigating… I immediately thought of my friend Janet Jordan Crelin.  Not one… but… two snakes frolicking or fighting or having a snake party. I’m not quite sure. But you don’t see this every day I’ll tell you. It was like some kind of pretzel practice. Without the dough.  Or like braiding class at the Hair Salon.  Remarkable.

With all of these goings on… I had to check my Horoscope.  I don’t give a lot of weight to those things.  But what the heck.  There had to be some explanation for all of these wonders of the universe opening up as they are.   And this is what it said.

Taurus.  Tuesday. July 12.  The fantasy world that you’ve built for yourself is a pleasure to behold, Taurus. People frolic in your world and have a grand time. Your presence delights people with pleasure. Today, however, this world may be threatened by harsh realities coming in the form of electronic information. This force is powerful and apt to be quite erratic and spontaneous. Be prepared to stand your ground.

Well, dip me in Duck Sauce.   I knew it.  Naysayers be gone.
I stand my ground.
The world is truly a wondrous and amazing thing.  I think so in my head.
And in my heart.   There.  I’ve said it.

And you know what else?  I think there is way more good than bad.   In this world.   There are more good people than bad people.  By a lot.  We all just have to start believing it, and acting like it.
I truly think it so.  In my head.
I hope your head does too.

If you can get your mind off the snakes.
