My brother Ed.  He is so good at so very many things.  Lawnmower Man.  Baseball Agent.  Recreational Director.  Just look at the guy.

He is visiting here this week, all the way from Seattle.  Home of the Space Needle and Starbucks.  Or something like that.

My first brush with Seattle was long before he moved there.  My fondest memories from that particular trip involve mostly restaurants and bars.   We stumbled upon the original Momma’s Mexican Kitchen.  And what a great night that was.  Holy Burrito.

I also fell in love with Pike Place Market.  We bought a huge bunch of sunflowers, and took them back to our hotel room to enjoy.  It was very fine indeed.

These days Seattle has grown exponentially.  The last time I was there was for Ed’s Wedding.  That was very fine as well.  We all sang, and danced, and made merry.

But I have segued into a Seattle Fest.  I started by telling you about my brother, Ed.

He is not to be confused with my cousin Eddie.  They both have the same last name.  Me too. Kronenberger.  It is a good German name, I’ll tell you.  Eddie, and his siblings, are the children of Art.  Arthur.   And then….  Art and my Dad, Paul, were first cousins.  Back in the day.  Well.   They still are first cousins, but both of them have passed.

Art was the son of Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!  My Dad was the son of Francis.  Can you tell by the names that there wing of the family is cooler than ours?  My Dad really liked his Uncle Rudy.

And there I go again, digressing down the path of the Family Tree.

When I mean to be talking about my brother Ed.  Dag nab it.   Well.  I’ll tell you this. I am happy he is here.  We haven’t seen each other in a little while, and it feels really nice to be around him.  Our conversations seem to pick right up from where we left off before.  Seamlessly.  And that touches my heart.

Even if he is from the other ovary.  Most of the kids in the family are from the other ovary, I think.  Of course, there is no way of telling, for sure. Actually, I think Mom might have a third ovary, but that story is probably better left untouched.

There I go again.   It is like my ADD takes over here sometime.  Just call me “Can’t Stay On Track” Kronenberger.

My brother Ed.  That’s what I wanted to write about.  He is good at so many things.  He has a special way about him.  I love my dear brother.  For a whole lot of reasons, but mostly because he has a heart of gold.  And then some.
