Back and forth… again.

Fickle.  Now, THAT is a good word.

I like the word fickle a lot.  Notwithstanding the fact that I am fickle.  Let’s put that aside for now.

But. Go ahead.  Say it aloud.  Fickle.  There is a feel-good noise it makes when you say it.  Especially when you put the “Sylvester the Putty-Tat” spin on it.  Ffffffickkkle.

Of course it rhymes with a bunch of good ones too.  Nickel.  Oh boy.  If I had two nickels for every time THAT happened.  And of course, there was the original Coca-Cola song.  “Coca-Cola hits the spot. 12 full ounces that’s a lot. Twice as much for a nickel too. Coca-Cola is the drink for you.  Pepsi drinkers…. eat your hearts out.

It also rhymes with pickle.  Another outstanding word.  Unless of course… you find yourself in a pickle. Then, you may not be so fond of this word.  But, pickles are nothing more than drunken cucumbers.  Sloshed to the hilt.  Purportedly, pregnant women love them.  I love them.  But I have never been pregnant.  Hence, another of life’s mysteries. (Not a mystery as to why I have never been pregnant.  I am pretty sure I have THAT one figured out.)

And I would be remiss, if I did not mention trickle.  It has nothing to do with trick.  Which may be confusing for the foreign language students in our audience.  But trickle reminds me of the Green Mile, when Tom Hanks has the peeing problem.  It also reminds me of leaky faucets, with the rust stain around the drain of the white sink.

And I started this whole deal with the intention of telling you about my fickle ways.  And honest to goodness, I am as fickle as they come.  Especially when it comes to deciding what to do about any “this” or “that.”

I go back and forth more than a tennis ball at a Williams’ sisters match.

Apparently, this started at a very early age.  I have found photographic evidence. … ….  like me with two cakes on my third birthday.  What three year old needs two cakes?  Well… I guess a fickle 3-year-old.

I’m so fickle I can’t decide whether to continue writing about this subject tonight, or simply to wrap it up.

I guess I’ll stop now. Suddenly, I am in the mood for some Peanut Butter Brickle.  And you know what that rhymes with.
