Forts, Spears.. and more…

Big Note.  Apparently, I fell asleep last night before clicking on the big…  SEND OUT TO INTERNET BUTTON.… on my computer.  So, here it rains this morning.

Tonight, I decided to bring your more photos from old archives.. except, there’s more.

asparagus moultrie pod

I would have liked to have told you about this asparagus…. which appeared at the Farmer’s Market….. in downtown Charleston, SC.  The market is held at Marion Square, named for Francis Marion.  Frank, old boy,  was a persistent thorn-in-the-side of the British during their occupation of South Carolina (Revolutionary War).  Even after the Continental Army was driven out of the state.   So he got a large square of grass named for him… among other things…. like a National Forest.

And perhaps then, to tell you of …. this next shot is off the shoreline, near Fort Moultrie.  I loved this place.  This is where the Palmetto State got its names… from the Palmetto Trees… which bounced the cannon balls back to sea.  In modern day…..there are always a gazillion gulls off the shore here.  I would stand on the shore and dream of flying with them, or swimming in with the fish below the surface of the sea…  I love to be near the water.

The third photo, is a bobble of nature.  Random Bobble-Like Things of nature, are some of my favorite things.  Just when you are walking along, minding your own business, a bobble like this will catch your eye. Then for the rest of the day, you can’t help to wonder what plant this might have been… or what Alien dropped by and left a baby Alien seedling right here in our midst.

These are all things I would have loved to talk about.  But as the truth would have it… I was forced… by an 8 year old and a 5 year old, to watch a Pokemon Movie.  Specifically, Pikachu’s Vacation.  I fear this has left an indelible mark on me.  I think my creative sparks may have been dampened for good.  It was frightening, and overwhelming, at the same time.  I could easily identify Pikachu, but I was unable to discern any thing that resembled a vacation… or for that matter…. a plot.

So.. to bed I go… in hopes of recovering from this psychedelic freefall called Pokemon.  And tomorrow is another day.

It is better to remain silent at the risk of being thought a fool, than to talk and remove all doubt of it.
