The Adventures.

Tonight, Mary’s son’s boys came over.  Ages…. Ten.  Seven.  There is a lot of energy in a ten year old. There is even more energy in a seven year old.

We studied floor plans, discussed mud, and had long conversations concerning the perils of dogs in dog shelters.  We ate pizza, discovered rocks, played games, and drew the Adventures of Wonder Mouse.    And so much more.

So as you can see, I’m tuckered.

A good tuckered.

I was going to write great things tonight.  I felt long-winded earlier in the day. But the boys were here until just a few minutes ago.  So …. so for tonight…

Aristotle comes to mind at the moment.

He once said… “The whole is more than the sum of its parts.”

That Aristotle.  He was pretty much a real Whiz-Bang.    He was talking about Synergy.   He knew, that the interaction of the individual parts…. (of anything)….   when combined….. can produce a greater effect.  You know.  When things are all-for-one.  One-for-all.

The big picture.  The all-togetherness.  The working together to get things done more effectively.  The cooperation.

Sometimes, it isn’t always easy to get to the point of cooperation.  The cog and the wheel have to line up.  That’s the big trick to making the world spin round and round on its axis.  Just like magic.  It takes time, and work.

I think it is important for us to try and remember that we are a part of the whole.  The greater scheme.  The bigger picture.

It isn’t always easy, but its true.  Be your beautiful you.  Your part of the whole.  And things will be a whole lot better.

More from Aristotle….

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.
