I would love to write about the Iowa Caucuses. But I won’t. I know this is another big 50-50 split in the nation. So, I don’t want to hack anyone off, one way or the other.
But I will ask you this. Do we keep trying to resolve situations in this nation, through exclusion? Is that what we are supposed to be doing, as forward-thinking human beings? Do we continue to keep treating people poorly because they are different from us? Is that the right thing to do? Is bullying okay, on any level?
These are questions I believe we will have to answer for ourselves, and ourselves only. But when we reflect on what is the “right” thing to do, no one is there to hold us accountable except for our own internal morality.
However, what we decide, and how we vote, will potentially affect many other lives. I ask all of us to be truly consider what is good, and just. Do we continue angry arguments, and violent resolutions?
